I understand that, and I don't have enough knowledge to say that is Win 10. I was just throwing out an idea. I do wish IK would be more helpful on their forum. It's always "contact support".
I'm not saying anything about Peter either. I believe he does what he can to help, much like Obi did before. Both seem to be good guys that do their best.
Anyway, I've been pleased with A4 after giving it several hours of play. It's a step up from A3. I paid $69 for the upgrade and I would do it again. I hope you get your problems resolved.

I had all 29 speakers available and selectable when I had Amp4 installed.

Also was running Windows 10 Pro 64bit without any issues.

I thought that the 'base' Amplitube 4 install package, if you didn't own any other products, as I said else where, was very thin in comparison to what you can get with other packages and for the price (Full $149 - Pre Order $99) I already owned everything Amplitube prior to AmpliTube 4 so the cupboard was full, but if I was a new user and only had what comes with the 'base' Amplitube 4, the cupboard would have looked bare indeed.

As to IK's support, again as I have said elsewhere, I had the same issue with some of the Orange collection with AmpliTube 3 reappear with AmpliTube 4. There had been discussions on the IK forums about the issue, which also seemed to effect different collection for different people, in these discussions it was said thast the issue had been fixed in AmpliTube 4, it obviously had not.  I sent a support ticket on the weekend, and got a response very quickly, offering a work around, and stating that the bug was known and it was being worked on. For the weekend I thought that was pretty good service, and to be honest I was not expecting any replies until the start of the week, So my first and only impression of IK support is only good.

I doubt it's a Win 10 issues as it would an across the board problem and people would've raised merry hell over it. A4 as well as all my other hardware/software has been working extremely well in Win 10 for me......much better than the earlier versions of Windows.

Thanks Clint for the 4.01 update....will do so tonight.

Got the update, now I have no stomps, if I click the insert button, it says I need version 4(it claims to be v4.01..... few,if any things changed and I see no additional anything that I didn't already have. Still have grayed out mics and speakers. And I don't recall a choice of anything, but I got Amplitube Metal when I upgraded to 4, something I would never choose. Of course, maybe in their convoluted thinking, I got a few extra amps?

But I am an admin, always have been....I'll do it anyway. Thanks!

PS - didn't work. I'll wander down that path a little deeper.... Amp 3 opens fine.  CS4 gets the allow thingy as well.

Even if you are the admin it doesn't mean that you are running the program as "admin".  This is a separate
process, and I do it for ALL my music programs.  They are all set under "Compatibility" to run as "Admin" which allows them to access more of Windows underpinnings and is extremely beneficial...which many VST's require, as well
as DAW programs.

Hmm, I was a desktop tech and never knew that( if course my users were never admin level anyway)......Just goes to show, no one knows it all.....now for the missing stomps. All I get is a nice wood floor......after this morning's update.

Thanks  Larry!

I take that back.... it still has the same error.......

The IK forum is not meant for technical support.  It is the first information you are presented with in the forum rules: "This forum is not intended for direct company technical support. For support requests, please visit the IK Multimedia web site."

I am not in the support department and it is more efficient for them to use the ticketed system to assist you (they will use other methods if it becomes necessary but most of the time the system works efficiently).  It isn't a cop out to send people to support when necessary, it is to get you to the people who are there to help specifically.  I have used IK products for years, but since I'm not in support I would have less knowledge to help in certain cases so having me (or mods/admins there) providing technical support would likely add to the frustration.  For example, I'm rarely using windows or certain DAWs these days so I would be less than helpful in those cases.

In any case, I can help have someone take a closer look if you have are not satisfied with a ticket or tickets.  Just get me  your ticket numbers and IK user name via PM.   Thanks!

Though I will make a suggestion regardless of the above :)  Make sure you have authorized using the serial number for AmpliTube 4 (not AmpliTube 4 Custom Shop) and that you've opened the Custom Shop application and done a Gear --> Restore My Gear in the AmpliTube section.  This is in reference to gear still being greyed out.
