It's an interesting evolution when professional plugin manufacturers decide to open up to a much larger group of home studio musicians and songwriters who want to get into some mixing and mastering of their own.
That's why prices had to come down, substantially, and they did.
I for one gladly welcome this evolution.

Yes, I would have gladly paid the price for the Bundle deal just for the Ozone 7 Advanced upgrade from Ozone 6 Advanced alone, and I got Trash 2 and expansions to boot, which I am liking very much and finding very useful for some extra swizzle wizzle on stuff.

Ditto that...I didn't EVER think I would be able to afford Ozone Advanced...
When this deal arrived I was like like "WHAT?"...and made a mad scramble to
get rid of things I wasn't using to get this Offer...

I would have HAPPILY paid the $209 just the upgrade to Advanced....all the
others, as I stated before, were Icing on a very TASTY cake!

except I still have to learn how to "resell" software.... I could dump Bias, S-Gear, Kontact 5, maybe even my EZ stuff. It looks like I may use SampleTank for most things now. But we'll not get too carried away yet.

I'm totally with CClarry on this one...having these great tools at the end of the chain, is a great incentive to record and mix material good enough to use and learn with Ozone 7 Advanced...I've been working on two tracks all night and its now a case of training the ears to the same standard as the tools !

KVR...or Gearslutz...Gearslutz you have to pay to be able to sell on their site...

KVR you just create an ID and make a posting in "The Marketplace"...make sure to
always give Feedback on your buyers in the "Feedback" sub-forum ...

I'm still a little puzzled by selling software. As I remember it was like pulling teeth to get a company to transfer a license. Case in point, the Pro Tools guys. I guess it's changed?

It has changed drastically.  Most have finally realized that not allowing "resale" costs
them a LOT of business.  Cakewalk is one that has not gotten with the times yet.
They still have a "no resale policy", which is probably while they'll never be a MAJOR
player in the Studio World.  Studios consider programs an investment.  As such, should
the business fold, you want to be able to liquidate assetes to recoup as much as possible
of your original investment.  With Cakewalk, it's money in the trash...as they don't allow
resale.  You can sell your account.  But then new owner get's no support...which is a
waste of time and effort.

This is my biggest pet peeve with these companies... Spitfire Audio is the same.  No resale.
After investing $600 or more in a VSTi, I had damn sure better be able to get some money
back it I go out of business and can't or won't use it anymore...

That's just the way I feel.  I don't like throwing money "away"...and that is what they
force you to do with these "no resale" policies...very bad business IMO...

It definitely leaves the owner/user with a "gotta get their pound of flesh" feeling. I know with software we are just leasing, but if you lease a property, you can sub-lease that property to anyone you want. Can we get Jesse Ventura to investigate this?

I GOT 99 NEW PLUGINS AND A PITCH SHIFTER IS ONE!!!

I bit on the musicians loyalty bundle, after two days of deliberation, I could but only succumb to the extremeness of the overall value. First load up of SPlat and the VST scanner said there was 99 new VST's installed? What the? Surely there can't be that many in the bundle?

The purchase set me pondering how companies manage to do such bargain basement pricing? I often hear the rhetoric from developers that their standard pricing is justified for a myriad of reasons. But when they can do sales like the Izotope loyalty upgrade and with apps like FL Studio being a one time purchase and free upgrades of the core program for life? I sometimes feel like there's a gigantic pile of salesman garbage being thrown at us, when the truth is possibly something else entirely? Why is the team for software company 1, so expensive in comparison to develop the same quality virtual gear as the team at software company 2? The pricing/offers disparity just seems a bit huuuuuugggeee at times, to be real...

I know some people will want to chime in with, "But it's like an entire studio in a box and an actual studio would cost blah, blah, blah..." To this I'm going to say that before gaming consoles, you used to have to hire vehicles, equipment, pay air/boat/train fares, bury your conscience and travel to some isolated lawless country to do the dastardly things that we do today in video games. But now a brand spanking game release isn't even a hundred dollars. Do you know how much money you would have gone through living out Grand Theft Auto 5 in real life?

In conclusion, phooey to standard pricing and big ups bargain basement pricing!!!

The bundle installs 21 DLLs and 12 plugins. I created an iZotope subfolder under Vstplugins to tidy up.
