So after comparing my Cakewalk FX list to yours this is the result....

What I have that's on your list...

Alias Factor
Amp Sim
Analyst
Classic Phaser
Compressor/Gate
FX2 Tape Sim
HF Exciter
Modfilter
MultiVoice Chorus/Flanger
Para-Q
Pitch Shifter
Tempo Delay

What's missing from my list:

Chorus
Delay
Flanger
FX Compressor/Gate
FX Dynamics Processor
FX Expander/Gate
FX Limiter
Reverb
SpectralFX
Tuner

I also don't think these are covered in the SWA X2 Producer FX vid I own that goes through all the effects from X2. Most of those don't sound like a big lost but the SpectralFX one sounds interesting (maybe a dynamic EQ?), of course the Tuner would be good and maybe the Dynamics Processor (but that might just be a multi Limiter/Compressor/Expander/Gate thingie which I have plenty of).

Interesting. Thanks for posting that.

Damn, Bob. You got me all excited that maybe I'd missed it. Just checked though and I don't have it. Also my Cakewalk FX list is about half of what yours is.

...

Anyway... if you have any thoughts as whether maybe I DO have access to that tuner I'd be happy to hear them.

In the meantime I'm going to compare my Cake FX list to yours and figure otu what's missing.

Thanks.

On this machine I've only fully installed X3 and S-Plat.  I see evidence that I had run custom installs (effects only) from S2XL (I think for Timeworks plugs I've since abandoned) and S7P.   I honestly don't remember what all I selected for those two.

Sorry ... I didn't even think about those being ancient.  I have 2 copies of the tuner.  One is dated '04 (32-bit from 2XL?), the other '07, which would coincide with S7P.

I also have Project5 installed ...

Sorry again.  FWIW, I use the tuner in GR5 most of the time anyway.  I do hate having to load it when I'm using a real amp, so I use one of the $15 clip-on tuners laying here next to my keyboard

My guitar/bass signal chain is Tuner->Preamp/Comp->RME Interface.

We doan need no stinking software tuner when we gotz a Peterson Strobo Stomp Tuner.

No need to apologize at all, Bob. It was an educational journey to the ghosts of Cakewalk past. I've only been on board since X1 (Production Suite) so it's interesting to see what used to be around.

As I said I would like Cake to include those plugs with a warning or probably a better plan is to just put them online for free download by registered users (of course with a warning). It's the phase out of 32bit plugs that's made us lose a lot of this stuff (more recently we lost the VC64 and other goodies due to that).

I've got my Boss TU-2 pedal which blows any of the virtual tuners out of the water but to keep it in the chain I lose a good patch cable (which are in short supply), requires a battery (9v be expensive yo) or adapter (which requires an outlet which are in short supply in this room/adds noise), makes an extra mess of cables in my cramped room/on my cluttered desk and even with just the 9v the extra cable adds a touch more line noise I find.

My usual solution is to keep the TU-2 out of the chain and just unplug from the input device, into the pedal, tune up once, then tune manually as I record (totally awesome for bass which doesn't go out of tune, not bad for my main guit for simpler stuff). Since I've been doing a lot more crazy dive bomb whammy work and hyper bends (2 semitones or more) though on my non lock tuner guit I have to tune up after almost every take.

So I use the sim tuners on GR and TH2... both of which I like FAR less than my pedal.

Meh... whatever works. One day I'll have better cables and a more spacious room (and a 24 pack of Procell 9v) and the TU2 will be a permanent fixture in my chain. It also acts as a handy DI splitter too which is useful.

Hope yu been well, Baps.

I also have a Boss TU-12. Used it for live chit back in the day.

Best live tuner on the market IMO. I recommend them to pretty much everyone. Mine survived years of extreme mosh pits, beer waterfalls and my own personal abuse. They're a little pricy compared to other stomp tuners but I would have had to replace those constantly. I find other tuners less accurate and slower to hook into the incoming signal.

Glad you're feeling better. Freaking flu be nasty, yo. One of the benefits of my hermit lifestyle is I don't pick up such bugs anymore (touch wood).

One of the grandkids get ya? They'll do that.

There's a spreadsheet on my Onedrive detailing all the plugins and which versions they came in.

It's in my Onedrive/Public/Sonar folder entitled Sonar Plugins 3 to X3
