There is great value with S-Gear and Amplitube. They are both very good IMHO. Once I get A4 installed and click restore my gear, I'm deleting A3.

I plan on doing the same, Clint. Move forward and not look back.

After newsletters showing Overloud on sale this weekend, I started trying to find out how much it costs to upgrade to the full TH2 and apparently for us Sonar users (I have SPLAT), it's the full $99 upgrade price (cheaper at JRRShop).
I have stuck with AmpliTube, so I don't really have any sense of whatever our Sonar included TH version (whatever it's called! LOL)compares, but I don't feel that inclined to find out, either, since Overloud isn't really "enticing" us.

Anyone upgraded to that? I suppose this should be in another thread....

The $99 one at JRR Shop ($88.11 with code FORUM) is the FULL version,
not the upgrade...it's on sale this weekend...we have what's called TH2 Sonar
which is a stripped down version....

Pentimento, I upgraded right after I got the TH2 Producer version. I think I'm getting famous around here for touting TH2 as a must-have!!! I have used all the sims you can think of and at the end of the run I only end up using 2. TH2 and Amplitube 3. TH2 full version is that good. The main appeal of TH2 full to me is the Brunetti amps and cabs, the Randalls, plus the added FX!!! The Brunettis are jawdropping once you master the different tone switches. For mainstream rock, blues or jazz, hands down it gets used everytime. I don't do much shred music. Mostly things in the vein of classic rock, reggae, blues, r&b, and on. I have even used TH2 live using a foot midi controller and almost all of my picker buds were astounded at the sound I was getting out of a laptop plugged straight in the board.
Amplitube 3 has been good but didn't really deliver until I got the Fender and Hendrix bundles. TH2 filled the void very nicely. Yes, I tried BIAS and S-Gear, Guitar Rig, etc.. They are stellar but compare the bells and whistles you get in TH2 at the price.
I have found more instances than not where TH2 slipped right in to the mix with almost no effort at all where I might struggle with another sim for a while to get what was needed. If you have the funds, TH2 Full is a no-brainer! It's good enough that I would buy it even if I didn't suffer a GAS attack! LOL!!!

Yeah I've had a number of instances in which I've struggled with getting a guitar tone to sound right with Guitar Rig and AmpliTube and ended up hitting upon exactly the tone I was looking for with TH2. Especially with the clean/slight crunch kind of sounds.

Have you tried Biax FX yet?  THAT is the one...

I am eyeballing BIAS FX but I just made the jump to A4 and I want to see what's up there. I'm pretty happy right now so it's gonna be hard to come up with an excuse for jumping on BIASFX.

They just lowered the prices...Biax FX Standard is now $79 and Pro is $179...

Thanks Sid. That's a testimonial and I do remember you mentioning really appreciating it elsewhere.

I thought that Bias (Desktop?) looked very interesting, especially the sample your amp option.

Yes...it is basically the "Software" version of the Kemper.  And you can also download others
Pedalboards, and Presets, and "Amp" Samplings that they have uploaded to the ToneCloud.
You only get that in the Pro Version...and you can try them before you download them right
through the interface...
