Hi Guys,

I'm not seeing greyed out presets or cabs here. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. Can you give me a specific name to look for so I can check it out better.

SixFinger,

May be missing something, but the rebuild from 3 to 4 was semi automatic on my system. Previous stomps and racks, cabs from Amp 3 were automatically there in ver 4. Took awhile after opening the preset browser to get all the previous presets recognized. Don't have any custom presets from 3 in the program, so can't testify if they come through. Should work however.

As far as I can tell, everything from Amp 3 (stomps, cabs, racks, presets) translate to ver 4. Only question I ain't resolved yet is if ver 4 is some cosmic upgrade into "hyper realism", or after all the hype, a minor tweak of ver 3.

Still searching for the silver bullet they claim is there. Doesn't mean it is not there just because I haven't found it yet.

It's the "Speaker" options that you don't have all of RT...unless you own
"all" of the available Cabinets already. There are several cabinets that I don't own,
and therefore those speakers show up as Transparent (not available).  You have to
own the cabinet that contains the speaker for it to show up on the list.  I don't have
any presets "greyed out", just when you select one that you don't own "all of the equipment"
used to make it it tells you "you don't own "whatever" and it will be bypassed...

Thanks for the update Larry. That's why I have everything showing up, I had to do something with all of those Gear Credits...

Down loaded it, but didn't have much time to play with A4. I dialed up one of the JCM 8000 crunch presets and played with it for a couple of minutes. I thought that amp sounded pretty decent.

After playing with A4 for a couple of hours I honestly I can't tell any difference from Amplitube 3. It looks good, but sounds the same. The speaker swapping thing got on my nerves instantly. I much prefer just picking an amp with matching cab and moving mics around. I guess for those who want or need a looper...well, it has one.
On the bright side. I've always liked Amplitube, so sounding the same isn't the end of the world...it's just a bit disappointing. S-Gear is still king.

Yeah, not bowled over. I have the stock Amp 3 and now Amp 4. Under the amp 4 selection are 51 presets in  the miscellaneous tab. For me, 32 of them would not load completely due to not having A particular amp or stomp. Starting to look like a continuing sales revenue vehicle.

Also...where is the new super accurate tuner? The one I used looked just like the old one.
