Also...where is the new super accurate tuner? The one I used looked just like the old one.

You select the tuner in the signal chain thingy, then down the left towards the bottom (above input level) you select 'Ultra Tuner' or 'Tuner'

As for sound, I have been playing around a bit more, and when comparing the Mesa Boogie collection in Amp3 and then Amp4, well to me there is no comparison, it sounds much better to me in AMP4. I don't think I'll be doing hundreds of comparisons, but I will do a few more, and then just put it through it's paces for a couple of days, the weekend is here, then switch over to Amp3 and see what my ears say. Still all in all I am not that impressed by Amp4 as yet, there is no 'WOW'

It doesn't appear that old user presets transfer to A4.  At least, I haven't figured out how to do that.

I read somewhere (KVR, The Gear Page IDK) that you have to manually drag in your old presets and change the extension.
I'll spend more time with it this weekend and see if I change my mind, but first impressions are it's A3 with a face lift. It's a very nice face lift and I do like Amplitube...so I'm not complaining, if it sounds like I am. I've been able to achieve good sounds with A3, A4, S-Gear and my HD500X...so it's a good time to be a guitar player!

PS- to the crashing of Amplitube 4 with Win 10 and Tascam US 4x4..

I ran it in compatibility mode to set the Tascam up. I no longer get the device error and subsequent crash. I suppose the thing to do to close the loop and set it back to normal and see if it was just the ASIO setup in Amplitube that was causing the crash. I'll go see now and will PS this post when I find out the answer, it may help someone else....

PS -works fine, just a slight detour for I/O driver.

More to add, I can't listen to the guy doing the Groove 3 vid... Too much southern accent, almost like he was trying to overdo it.

I pretty much agree with the "no wow" factor after goofing with it some more.  I do think the speaker cabs sound a bit better...and I like the RedPig amp.  I also, unlike Clint above, like the speaker swapping feature, the different rooms and the mixer.  I was able to get a really cool vibe in a two amp setup by swapping speakers around.  But again, no "OMG this hyper-realism thing is fantastic".  Not by a long shot.  Dern it.

I was probably a bit harsh when I was talking about the speaker thing. It's a feature that can be ignored easy enough. I don't use 90% of what Sonar has...for example. In time I may want to switch a speaker...so it's nice that it's there.

I did the file extension rename before I posted.  That made the files show up in A4, but they didn't sound like the old presets, not even close.  I could rebuild them all from scratch, but that would be time consuming.

IIRC that's just about my net outlay.

How come I have 30 Jam Points on the site and only 20 credits in Custom Shop?
I suppose they are different things?
