No the tube doesn't coming included with any amp collection either I don't think, I just checked the contents all the amp collections and at least those 2, the bottle and the tube aren't included. I think that's why I just brought everything, then everything just works, no annoying pop ups etc. IK, they know a thing or 2 about marketing :)

Okay, I'll probably buy that mic then...it's the only one I don't have. It's $4.99. Now that I have decided to like A4...I wouldn't mind having those Mesa amps. They will be on sale soon enough, I learned long ago to never pay full price for anything IK.

They are quite magnificent for the most part. (Mesa/Boogie)

Is the Fender thing ever less than 149? That's about the only one I would spring for.

The Fender collection is the reason I own Amplitube. Even though they are 5 or 6 years old, they are still the best Fender sims I've ever played through. I got that for $99 a couple of years ago. Expect big sales from IK for Christmas.

How about a certain Fender model with the ability to swap components in the tone stack, etc.? DIY Dumble!

Well I gave it a good bash for a couple of days, didn't do much more comparing against AmpliTube 3 after the initial comparison with the Mesa/Boogie, which did sound better to me in AmpliTube 4. I didn't mind the Red Pig, and the Brit Silver, but apart from that I didn't think much of the other amps. I think AmpliTube 4 is certainly better than, a step up from AmpliTube 3, I was never that keen on AmpliTube 3 to start with, although I do like the Orange Collection and a few other amps like the ENGL, Soldano, and a few more. What I did find is that after a couple of days just playing with AmpliTube 4, when I switched to BIAS FX Pro, the difference was immediate, it's like a slap in the face, BIAS just sounds better straight up, better sound quality, just better is all I can say.

I see a lot of people who like Amp3/4's Fender amps, I have never liked them, in fact always thought they sounded like sh!te, so I fired up a '67 Blackface and a '59 Tweed Deluxe in BIAS FX Pro, played them for a while and compared them to the Fender Collection, again, to my ears there is no comparison, the difference to me is immediate and unmistakable, it just sounds better, a better quality of sound, I don't know, that's the best I can describe it, whether or not 1 or the other sounds more authentic or not, I don't know, and whether or not they are modeled after a certain amp or not I don't know, but it's easy to tell they were both shooting for a similar target, and to be honest it doesn't matter to me whether the BIAS FX Pro version was modeled after a falling tree branch, the fact is it just sounds better, full stop. And it's not just sound, it's a feel as well if that makes sense.

I said earlier that I wouldn't have paid full price of $149 for AmpliTube 4, and that I wasn't sure if the pre order price $99 was worth it, well, if I had my time over again, I would just skip it all together, it's not really worth it to me, I have stuff which is so much better, stuff I can get far better tones out of. And to whoever it was above who suggested a price of $49 or whatever for AmpliTube 4, I'd say yeah, that would be about right.

So I have now removed AmpliTube 3 and 4 and all associated stuff, I won't be updating them any longer or maintaining them or spending any more time money on them, I had hoped, but unfortunately AmpliTube just isn't up there with leaders of the pack in my view. I have had a bit of a clean out, S-Gear 2, Revalver 3dot5 and 4, Guitar Rig 5, Recabinet 4, Vandal, AmpLion Pro (rolls eye's) have all been removerd, I'm just keeping BIAS Amp Pro, BIAS FX Pro, TH2, the Kuassa Amps, TSE, GTR 3.5 and a few excellent freebies like Ignite Amps and LePou. I'll continue to get whatever comes along and looks to be good, but if they don't stack up just uninstall them and put them in the pile. Not really into demos, the only way is with the full product and no restrictions.

Hopefully TH3 might be just around the corner, there are a few whispers, but . . . here's hoping. Oh and check out BIAS Pedal for any distortion needs, it really is very AWESOME in that area, I have been using it for a while via the explorer program, it was released a couple of days ago, it kicks major arse, and much fun to boot.

And my experience was just the opposite. I heard a huge difference between Bias and Amp4 on the a/b. Amp4 is switched in for all my amps on that tune now. It really cleaned up and separated the acoustic and tele rhythm tracks.

Just goes to show that we all need to play these sims for our self, and make our own custom patches with each to make the correct choice for our own taste and feel. I tried the Bias desk demo when it first came out and didn't like it, and IMO Amplitube's Fender amps are pretty much spot on with the 'real' amps I used for years. Of course this doesn't mean what's right for me is right for everyone else...I'm glad we have so many options and that most players can find something that works for them. Regardless of which sim you decide to keep and use...they all seem to be getting better every year and they all seem to be capable of getting good results in the end.
