I hate it when things get overrated due to runaway hype and viral sheep behavior. My newsfeed is full of Star Wars and BTTF posts too. They should have left the Star Wars franchise alone after the second one.

I haven't seen/read LOTR - and I like it like that.




 
This I find puzzling. Care to explain why? I could understand not watching the movies (although they are as good as they could have been, I think), but the book is an astonishing piece of literature.

JMO, but as book to film ratio depth goes, HBO did a good job with this. Yes, I did read all the books and will probably do it again next year.
