I think it's fascinating that we live in a so-called individualistic society, yet a lot of people seem to be more than anxious to relinquish their individuality and their freedom of opinion to follow fads and express themselves through ready-made formulas and one liners.
 ...

Gosh, Rain ... we can start with the posts in the CH ... perfect description and illustration and if someone has opinions that are longer than one liners, they are automatically disqualified like Melville, or Dostoyevsky, or Shelley! Too long and boring! And ... of course ... most of them do not read it anyway! Just shows the musical discipline doesn't it? It's about the whole piece, not just 16 bars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here we go.....

Julien probably don't like my tat.

I'm 62 and I gave it to myself on Father's Day.

Well, at least it was only one paragraph, and went straight into slagging off the forumites. He's honing his skills...

You know that if you rotate that 90 degrees anticlockwise you have a sad face with some kind of hideous mole on its chin.

I don't understand why older people (senior citizens) try to look young, what is the purpose of that? I don't get it. I certainly would like to feel younger but I have no interest in looking younger. My desire is to age gracefully, I may have no hope of that though, lol.

For the record: Rain... all your bacon belong to us!

LOL

I was telling my wife a few days ago that I had way too many older gentlemen with eyeliner in my newsfeed. There is a whole scene of people here hanging on to the look they had in their 20's. And still playing the same music.

As someone said, hair metal didn't die, it relocated to Vegas.

Some actually sport it with a certain gusto, but in some cases, it's a bit sad. But hey, as long as they're happy and comfortable...

I always thought balance was preferable - you try and make the best of what you have. For a guy, aging can mean that your features aren't quite as compatible with that glam look you loved so much, and maybe it's time to adapt and adopt a more "masculine" look that's more suited to that receding hairline and wrinkles, so that you don't look like a really ugly, aging drag queen...

And you guys are most welcome to have ALL my bacon and pork. :)

Rain, there is a fine line between "individualist" and "curmudgeon". This observation comes from someone who has long since crossed that line.

I don't think Krist has crossed the line to curmudgeondom as much as he's slipping back to and holding on to youthful idealism. I keed, I keed.

I'm working on it. :P

I've always been happier when limiting interaction with humans. I'm not a people person. Give me cats and dogs and cows and bats... Humans - one or two at a time.
