upon starting a new project (after the recent update), I now get crackles and pops in audio. It's wierd that it does not happen on tracks and projects already recorded. Has anyone else experienced this and what is the fix?

I updated today and got pops on a newly recorded vocal track. I copied the wave file to a new track and the pops went away! I also had a problem with automation envelopes being ignored.

i'm still on 2017.07 but had annoying crackles ruining some takes in the last recording session. it did happen across all buffer sizes and CPU load nowhere near being critical. i suspect some windows update caused this as sonar and plugins have not changed in the recent month.

tried to track it down yesterday but guess what there were no crackles. latency mon also shows perfect system. I have no idea what could be running in the background that may be causing this. any help is much appreciated.

I just took a bait and upgraded my old X2 license to Sonar Platinum subscription yesterday and one of the first issues I've noticed were recurring pops and crackles while playing soft synth instruments or monitoring guitar input with Amplitube 4 on.

This is happening with very simple projects - one VST instrument/guitar plugin plus reverb on a bus track and there you go. Very disappointing, I hope it goes away with another update.

Nope, this looks like a Sonar issue. I have no issues with other DAWs (Reaper, Reason).

I have this issue since 2017.7 - I haven't installed 8 yet.
Offline, so I don't think I have the new W10 problem others mentioned
