Great playing as always Rik.  I don't know much about celtic guitar music, but the tone sounded a bit "bright" to me considering it's a lament.  Just my $0.02, which might not be worth 2 cents. ;)

Hi Walt, thanks, the bright sound is on purpose and my attempt at a period correct sound, late 17th century, sort of lute-like. Also O'Neill was a military man so I don't want it  to sound to solemn and twee.

Nice piece of guitar playing - I enjoyed it

Real nice touch Rik.

I couldn't get it to play so I rebooted and it played, ONCE.  I don't know why Soundcloud is intermittent for me.  I liked what I heard and will try again if I can get it to work!  I wonder if anyone else is having a similar problem.  It's done it for the last few weeks.  Work, not work.  Aaaaargghhh.
