I am not at all surprised. After all FaceBook  has to be sensitive to the cultural mores of a diverse user base. Obviously that includes persons who find the circular rims centered on protruding hubs too suggestive.

I quit facebook a year ago. I don't miss it

I tried Facebook out about a number of years ago and it just didn't work out for me at all.
I was hoping to find out that I was gonna inherit millions of dollars from a long lost relative I didn't know I had that had been trying to track me down for the last 40 + years .
I felt pretty dejected when I found out that nobody in the whole wide world was looking for me for any reason at all , so I pulled the plug on FB …
I may change my mind someday if I decide to release a proper CD where I may need the social push FB can provide.
By proper CD I mean music that involves playing with musicians that are better than me , involving a proper engineer ( not myself ) and an actual mastering job by a pro ( not myself ) …

Following the big KISS Night here where my wife and I played, I started to receive a lot more requests and realized that Las Vegas has this whole scene of people whole live for live music and support the local scene.
 
Musicians and wannabe musicians, attending each other's concert, photographs and wannabe photographs trying to make a name, ladies who would otherwise be a bit mature to be groupies but who just hang out and attend shows 4 or 5 nights a week because they don't have a kids or a husband, only girl friends w/ that exact same life style...
 
It's a bit disconcerting at first, but I guess it works.
 
So I've started letting more people like that in on my Facebook, though I put them on a restricted access list.
