  • 2017.08 > PRV Colors all grey now ... ?

Hi there,

In 2017.08 ...
Is there a way to get the colors back in PRV for the tracks that aren't active?
Every one other than the active selected track is grey.
I rely on the colors to tell what is going on with interaction between parts, watching for parallels etc.
seeing chord structures and other things. I tend to read PRV like I'd read sheet music
and loosing that color differentiation is a deal breaker for me.

No new feature is worth loosing the ability to quickly see which part is doing what
especially with 10 to 20 or more tracks going at the same time.

I've been on 2017.01 until this morning ... I tried 2017.08 for 10 minutes and then rolled back.

So is there a trick to getting all of the colors showing in PRV?

Thanks for the help!

Steve

Steve,
Make sure you don't have "Auto lock" enabled.

Thanks.
I think I did because switching screensets messed up the filter.
I'll have an other look at it soon and remember your advice.

Tried it again ... yea it was auto lock ...
but even still ...
the colors aren't good compared to the old PRV and to me it's still a deal breaker.

I'll try to be a squeaky wheel about it and see what happens but if it doesn't get at least as good as 2017.01 I'm going to stay with 2017.01

The new features aren't worth me dealing with what I see as a visual down grade.

Any minor annoyances I'm dealing with in 2017.01 - mainly the track manager not working consistently in console view - ...
that one is still just as inconsistent in 2017.08.

Sticking with 2017.01 !
