I managed to repair a HP Elitebook 2570p laptop which has a 12.5" HD Screen. The spec is very good - Core i7 and 8GB Ram.

Im just wondering is sonar good to be setup to work on smaller screens? Anybody running Sonar on a screen this size & thoughts on this after usage.

I already have sonar on may main laptop - a 17" Dell but I like the idea of this 12.5" laptop for music creation on the move.

I also looked for threads in general about best DAW on smaller screen sizes. Many saying Reaper.

I use Sonar only on a laptop. Although I can easily add a second monitor, over time I've become very accustomed to using just the laptop screen.

Shortcut keys are my friend. Just the keystroke D alone is a winner. Several others of course. But these make it easy to see just what you need at the moment you think of them. So a single laptop screen only approach can be and is convenient if you get some of these keyboard shortcuts memorized. There are not that many.

Hi. I don't think you'll have any problems, except perhaps some small graphics in some plugins/places.
My laptop setup is on an old 14" HP Probook (6450b), and all is good in my end.
Try and see  If possible, just copy the downloads from your 17", via USB/external HD, and use CCC to install. 
It'll save you time.
