My latest composition. Slightly different style than I usually compose, a bit of Ambient/Chill for a change.

I think the drums are getting a little lost in the mix behind the piano.  You also had some issues with lead piano parts coming in a little bit late here and there.  Maybe your arpeggiator was giving you trouble?  Overall, it could use a bit of polish, but nice song idea.  I did like it anyway and was happy to listen. :)

Thank you for the constructive feedback. I had a listen with fresh ears and I think some of the problems were down to the solo hihats. After examining the sample they seem to play slightly off beat. I have replaced them with something more on the beat, which I think actually works better and the arps sound more on time to my ears anyway. I have also tightened the timing on the lazy piano part that comes in before the final reprise.

Drums also turned up a notch and the piano down a touch.

This song sounds much better now!  There are two spots in the beginning part that are still off rhythm in the lead piano, specifically at 1:08 and 1:17.  Everything else seems great.

Nice stuff going on.  For me it needs some lead instrument or vocal.  The idea is pleasant to listen to and relaxing.

What's with the record needle in the beginning and at the ending, is that part of the piece? If so, I'd loose them, they just don't do anything for the rest of the piece. Once it kicks in it all sounds really good on this end. Smooth and soothing piece and quite relaxing. Enjoyed. I did listen to this a few days ago, but didn't want to be the first to respond. But Walt nailed it.

Peace and Blessings, John
