PSP 85 is a monster!!! My favorite delay. Goes from simple delay to not of this earth!!! Must be heard to be appreciated And it has a demo. Check it out! Highly recommended.

I have my PSP account, which includes PSP 85 and Triple meters, for $80 on KVR

SigMund also seems to fit the requirements. One of the few mentioned here I have not tried.

Another +1 for MMultiBandDelay.

If you have Waves plugs already, another versatile delay to consider is their SuperTap. Not on sale at the moment, unfortunately.

I like:

Tritik
Boz Imperial Delay
FabFilter Timeless 2

Any of the above are more than enough. Even the included Sonitus does everything needed. I favor the first two, probably, the Imperial Delay the most, because of ease of use and great features.

That all said,
Soundtoys Echoboy operates the most like what I would want in a delay and is my favorite. Great presets. Super intuitive. Looks like a delay should in terms of dials. In fact it has multiple delay units to choose from.

My go to delays are H-delay by Waves  and Ubermod by Valhalla they cover most situations.
Sonitus delay is great as well.

Another free one not mentioned that I would recommend is also from valhalla

If you set the pitch shift at zero then it is a great delay.

FF Timeless, Relayer, EchoBoy (better to buy whole bundle during BF) all give you a month to play with them... I would start there.... MMultiBand does too but I found it lost lots of the hi freqs... FF T2 is the best in this regard.

All of the above are very sweet... but trial them to see which speaks to you.  I got Relayer thinking it would be very innovative but still rely on Timeless2  for most stuff.
