Hi,
I'm trying to be able t o perform an action in Professional that I easily performed in Pro Tools,that is to record a group of measures ei: 2-10, 15-18 33-41 within record and playback in designated areas etc. and cannot in Sonar tutorials figure out how to do this. Guidance please.

Do you mean you want to LOOP certain sections?

I'm not trying to be a smart-butt...just asking, if you were doing well in PT is there another reason you're changing (or changed already). How come you aren't staying with a DAW you know?

Or do you mean Punch in Recording?
 
This is often combined with the Loop function
