Well Lynn, Now you have gone and done it, you brought this full circle and it is absolutely awesome my man. This really holds your attention all the way through and sparkles with delight, poise and captivating to the mind. Great job on this new mix. Lots of things happening all the way through with some great textures. I love this. Wonderful work here folks.

Peace and Blessings, John

I was talking to a woman who once recounted how much she enjoyed the moon through her eyes, and I have to say with some immodest pride? It was after "an episode" where I was on shameless display on the hotel balcony with her gazing up from the boardwalk below... (it was a warm night and I thought the room lights were dim enough?)

fantastic panning
now it sounds much better
it has more atmosphere now.
when i listened to the first version the instruments were seperated but now they are flowing together.
Lynn once again you are a great Artist
even a hip hop head like me listens to your MUSIC ;-)

What a pleasant surprise to find these replies this morning.  Thanks for listening, yet again, to this ditty.  Fortunately, I have been nudged in the right direction by several of you with your golden ears and generous time.  I finally had an "aha!" moment after changing the bass and snare drum samples in Superior Drummer.  Without your input, this may never have happened.  And, to Robbie, I once had an "aha" moment on a hotel balcony  when I was on vacation in Guatemala.  Things like that stay with you forever.

Well done Lynn, I'd like to hear more Kick in the mix but that's personal preference. Also I think I'm hearing V Vocal artifacts here and there.

You write great tunes, Lynn.  I enjoyed this one.  I'm having an ear problem I think.  It sounds a bit "thin" to me, but some others have too and I'm thinking it's just me.  LOVE the tune, Lynn!

Hey, Lynn,

Another excellent, very creative pop rocker with your wonderful, recognizable signature sound!

Great songwriting and vocals, and I really love the tone and playing during those very tasty guitar solos.

Really good stuff, buddy, and have a great Labor Day weekend!
Bob

Been busy so time here has been limited.

Interesting bounce piece as Frank noted could do with a little bridge or something.

For me it is all a bit centric which would probably translate well on radio.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi, everyone!  I've been away for a while, and I haven't been following this forum like I would like.  I was surprised to see this song on the front page because I've been so busy and have moved on to a newer project, and this song has fallen on the back burner for me.

@Tony-thanks for your time and ears.  You are indeed correct when pointing out the V-Vocal artifact which occurred on the high harmony in one line.  That takes familiarity with VV and VERY good ears.  Ultimately, I'll rerecord the vocal line.  As for the bass drum, since you and others have pointed this out, I will address that in the next mix.

Warren, I really appreciate your kind comments, and as I said above, I will deal with the perceived thinness of the track, as I am beginning to hear that myself.

Bob, you always say the nicest things and give me much encouragement.  It's always a thrill hearing this from a talent such as you and many others here.

Wookie, thanks for taking the time to listen and respond.  I agree with you and Frank that this could take a bridge; however that would make the song at least half a minute longer, and it may be too long already.  lol  I'm working on a new song that has verses, choruses, AND a bridge!  It'll be posted in the very near future.

Again, thanks to all of you that have responded, and have a safe and happy Labor Day.

Steve, thanks for taking a listen and your kind comments.  As a matter of fact, I just remixed this again in response to those who've suggested that it is shy in the low end.  The new version can be found here: http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?q=hi&songID=12439692

This mix sounds great... now what about that abrupt beginning..?
BTW, very cool song lyrics...

Hi Lynn.  I think I agree with others saying I'd like to hear more bottom end frequencies, even after your recent remix.

One thing I want to mention - the rhythm seems a bit busy, due to the shuffling drumbeat and the active bassline and other rhythmic parts.  I'm sure that's what you're going for, since you apparently started with the drums.  It just doesn't seem to match up real well with the vocals, which are smooth and melodic.  Just my $0.02!

Overall, nice sound, and obviously a lot of effort went into it!
