I established my mixing templates several years ago based on what I learned from MILAR and JA using a split router and L & R mix masters going to a final Master Out.  A lot of plugins (VST/3, 32/64) have come and gone since then and now my template is very confused, taking a long time to load and confused on aux send routings.  I want to start from scratch from templates of the 4 busses.  BUT, I can not find "Save As Buss Template" like I can for tracks.  How can I save the Buss Template?

Thanks!!!

What happens if you save it as a song/track template?

(not at daw to try it)

Just a passing thought.

If its for a BUSS I would save the plugins in the FX Bin as an FX Chain then recall it as needed.

If its for a AUX track i would save it as a track template and when you open it in another project create a patch point for it.

Hope this helps

Yes!  What is a patch point?

Patch points is the virtual patch bay that is in Sonar Platinum. It is a way for you to route your signal within your session.

How do you save the plugins in an FX bin as an FX chain. Can this be done for both tracks and busses? Thanks.

yes.
1- Insert 3-5, whatever plug ins in to an FX bin
2- Right click on the FX bin and choose " Turn in to FX Chain"

I typically do this and then Extract those plug ins after.
Because they retain plug in settings.
