Anything labeled "Bell" in any of the synths in Sonar are anything, but bells. I'm looking for real bell sounds like church bells or other large bells. Like the one on AC/DC's Hells Bells.

Anyone know where I can get this?

That is definitely what I'm looking for, but is that just for Kontakt or will it work with any synth?

It requires the full version of Kontakt (at least version 4.2.4).

If you don't own Kontakt yet, it's well worth the investment. There are countless high quality libraries out there that don't work in the free Kontakt Player. If you use a lot of sample libraries in your work, you won't regret owning the full version. :)

You're going to have to go Kontakt for real bells. There are a number of good bell and carillon libraries out there, sampled from actual church bells and such. So if you don't have Kontakt yet, it's time to dump out your penny jar - you won't regret it!

Good to know, thanks.

Must be a serious sampler, 48 gig full install or 100 gigs for Komplete and 320 of Ultimate!

Kontakt is the standard by which all others are judged.    Sounds kinda funny, but is kinda true.

And FWIW, there are so many usable free and cheap libraries out there that it's almost endless.

I remember a good church bell in Roland's old Sound Canvas. I wonder if the Virtual Sound Canvas still works?

That link ends up on a Japanese site. Couldn't read it or find anything saying sound canvas.

Yeah, forget that then...I thought it led to Roland Japan. Apparently not.
