Been trying this following the help manual, but so far nothing changes the speed of the original audio. Which leads to my question, does it even work?

Thanks

If it's the Essentials edition which comes with Sonar, then I'm pretty sure it can't be done, only the higher editions can do tempo editing. There's a comparison chart here http://www.celemony.com/en/melodyne/editions-and-technical-matters which indicates Tempo detection/Tempo Editor functions are only available in Editor and Studio editions.

I have not used this technique, but here is a link to Celemony's help site, specifically for Tempo adjustment:

I would suggest you copy the link and paste it in your browser.  I would be interested in how it works for you.

Thansk for all of that, but, yeah roads well travelled already. It just does not seem to work. To the first poster, yes its the Studio version which is a paid version why I wrote it in the OP really!

You need to go to the RFX menu in the corner of the clip and enable "Follow Host Tempo"
