Actually, I came across this web page while researching piano half-pedaling technique, which was something I never learned when taking piano lessons as a teenager (I never had a piano good enough to make it worth doing, for one thing).  This is an interesting web site with a really nice presentation on piano pedaling technique.  Too bad the instructor is so homely ... not!
