I'm about to take advantage of my $50 (!!!) upgrade offer, but the comments I'm seeing all over KVR about v5 plugins not properly recalling settings from projects using v4 plugins have me a bit worried.  Have any of you guys checked this with SPlat?  Is it safe?

V5 replaces v4 plugins.  presets "should" load and there shouldn't be a problem but there is.  Soundtoys is looking into it.
 
if you know the preset you can just manually select it and your off and running.  but tweaked custom settings sore of sometimes don't load right now.
 
I currently have no old projects that have soundtoys saved and imbedded in them.  I got no issue with the v5 at all with presets.  they load if I load um.
 
other users this is a huge issue as soundtoys are on every track and a preset wrong here or there screws everything.

So I only have Echoboy 5, Microshift, Little Primal Tap, and Little AlterBoy. Soundtoys site says I can upgrade to the full bundle for $220.

Yeah, that's my concern.  I don't think I've created a new project in the last 3 years that doesn't have at least one ST v4 plugin (usually multiple ST plugins) and they're pretty much all either custom settings or tweaked presets.  I think I'll buy the upgrade, but hold off on installing until they fix it.

If you could only have one: SoundToys 5 or FabFilter creative plugins (Timeless 2, Volcano 2, and Saturn)...
 
which way would you go?

I have Timeless and I use it a lot less than Soundtoys, mostly because they are just a bit easier to use. Timeless is great for really exotic delays, but is a lot less useful than I thought it would be when I bought it. Soundtoys never fail to find a spot on a track...
