However, I found out that my internet issue was simply a network setting that had to be unchecked for it to work.......which btw, a 16 yr. old guy on the Windows Ten forums was able to solve:
Under "Networking", click the "Configure" button. Go to "Power Management" and uncheck the box that reads "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
Now, I'm up and running full speed!! Wooohoooo!! :))
The main concern is the number of these settings that are all over the place, that are interfering with your connection and its quality.
If you can find a packet sniffer (old tool that told you what was going through your connection -- administrator's heavenly tool!), you can see what is going on, and you will know IMEDIATLY which programs to remove from your computer! Hint ... iTunes was the 1st one for me!
