Silly question - is that DLR singing? I couldn't make it past Panama, shockingly bad. Maybe he couldn't hear himself, or the band..or something...

Yeah, that was DLR on the mic...............can't categorize that as singing though. 
 
DLR is still the best performer/singer VH had (IMO) and I've seen them quite a few times in their prime........of course now, his voice is just shot.....still a funny guy though. 

Yeah, no question that the first 4 VH albums were their best work. I was not a Van Hagar fan. But, I still like Sammy as a solo artist, and liked that he defended his friend. Eddie apparently likes to tear others down to make himself feel superior, and it's so unnecessary. The guy is a pioneer on guitar, one of the greatest. So, I don't know why he feels the need to belittle others.

I'll side with Sammy on this one. To tear apart the (former) member of VH that has been the most loyal over 30+ years and basically tell the world he couldn't play just shows how arrogant Eddie can be. The brothers are created equal... I have no respect for either one of them.
 

True....these guys are all on an ego trip (some more than others) and that has gotten the better of them. It's sad to see these history makers taking things to such low levels, but I suppose fame/fortune will do that you. Of course, Leadfoot & I were only agreeing on the music aspect of it (personalities left out) on DLR being the better lead man.

That was cool ... and brutal.  I've never "studied" these guys, but the BB article described EVH in that surprises me.
