Hmm...  I'm not working either, I wonder if I should put myself up on eBay for parts?

Shipping not included?

Too bad, I was really interested 'til I found that out.

I've tried some freeware VSTi versions of EMS synths which I thought were pretty accurate in that they didn't work properly either.

Hi,

I'm in the market for a synthesizer, but it has to work ... at this point, the only thing I know is that I need some of those slides and some of those knobs ... so I have a better idea what to do with it all.

I have a real hard time translating the digital stuff from the "viewer" into reality and then figuring out what to do with it next, like I can with an analog style, where I can do the changes on the knobs or slides ... it's a real hassle right now, trying to get this moving forward, and I'm thinking that all the hand gadgets is better for me. I'm not looking for that high a price, but reasonable.

Arturia Minibrute or Microbrute looks interesting. Unless you want to modular then check out the Eurorack systems, you can mix and match modules from many manufacturers.

Hi,

At this point, a Korg or Roland might be on the way here, under 1K or so ... but I haven't gone to Portland to fiddle on them yet ... and might not be able to do it for about 3 weeks, still, before Thanksgiving when I have a couple of days off extra.

Given the imagery and sounds I hear in my head, I would think that keyboards are a natural for me ... but I'm kinda lost in the maze and have not found anything ... love the software stuff, but learning how to use it is not for beginners ... I have the Jupiter 8 software and its magnificent ... but would be much better if I could do more with it, than set my 9 slides and 9 knobs on the Midi Keyboard to the software, to be able to make some changes on the sound, but wish I had someone here that could kinda go over ... that knew the sounds and such for example ... and say ... ohh skip that one because it is imbedded in here, and do this one instead ... so I would be able to grab a better understanding ... but in the end, what I am finding out is that there is a lot of knowledge about a DAW ... none about keyboards (synths) themselves, though it appears I have found someone in Portland for some money spending. But the last lesson, was yet another DJ thing on a DAW and I gave up! I wanted to plug an instrument, do something, and then add my own, and the like ... but the steps taken for the DJ process, kinda obliterated the thoughts I had, and I did not recover, or know, where to turn to from there.
