I remember that tune.

Nice faithful cover.   I remember the guitar being dark like you have.

Good job on the cover.

Hey Tom, I really appreciate hearing that it's interpreting well on your monitors.  My listening environment is far from ideal so I have to use my eyes instead of my ears for anything below 200 hz.

McQ, thanks for the comments, some useful feedback there, the 'ADT' type sound on the vox is partly the result of the penalty of all the pitch correction that still has to occur so that I don't end up frightening the local Corncrakes from their habitat.

Mark, thanks I appreciate the comments as well as seeing your familiar face again.

Janet, well if I post a track and it results in you showing up I'm definitely going to make an effort to post more, my adorable freind I really miss you being around.

Nice work, Jonbouy.  Who did the original?  It had a Lou Reed feel to it.

Lou Reed, Leonard Cohen...that's some good company! What I hear is early Floyd. Good stuff, whatever the simile.

No real criticisms at all, but if I was your producer, some ideas I'd toss out for your consideration:

- Substitute an Italian transistor organ for the strings
- Add some ambiance generally, and to the drums specifically
- Pan the BGVs out of the lead vox's way
- A long, subtle delay on the guitar
- Some distant percussion, e.g. shakers and tambourine

But don't touch that great lead vox!

Hey, John,

Nice work on this very cool cover!  I vaguely remember the original, but I'd say you did a great job on the vocals and guitar work, and the mix sounds really top notch.

Nice one, excellent production all the way around!

Best Wishes,
Bob
