I've been watching the first few episode of this new Netflix show (Narcos) and it's quite interesting. Apparently it's closer to a documentary (with some extra drama) on how Pablo Escobar became one of the worlds richest/ruthless men........all from his Colombian drug empire.
He was estimated to be worth $30 Billion while making $60 Million per day from cocaine, and controlled 80% of America's cocaine trade.......wow!!
What amazed me was how invincible he thought he was and even bought/bulldozed his way to being a member of Colombian's Congress. Only a very small minority of people dared to stand up to him........most ended up dead. Very interesting show so far(supposedly very close to the real life story as well) and I've only seen the first 4 episodes of season 1.
