50 Things not to buy.

Even though you and I and anyone here would not want to admit it, in the end, the buying of instruments will continue to fall off as this younger generation does not have enough people interested in music beyond the beat and the daw ... and that will hurt.

Why learn a piano, or keyboard, when your VST can do it better, and in some cases, it's free?

The only issue left is playing with other people, but in the end, it will create different music until such a time as it is cool and kosher to play together again!

There's an app for most of those things anyway.

One of them was about not having a land phone line..at the moment, AFAIK, only Virgin Media can provide broadband without a phone line (in the UK) and I doubt very much whether they could provide it to me here in 'The Outback', so we're kinda stuck with that one.

Gee, James, out here in the modern world (where we have things like microwaves and electricity), I don't know of anyone, who has a cell phone, that still has a land line.  Plus there are several satellite options for broadband now.

Land lines used to work even if the power to your house was out because they had their own power, now I can't help but wonder what chaos will happen if everyone's cell phone goes dead due to a solar flare or cyber-terrorist attack!

This is something that one hopes the FCC in America can address one of these days ... 120 years later ... we're still using wires! Doesn't really say a whole lot for technology, does it? For guitars, though ... that's another Craig story!

Actually, I used to have two Shure Diversity transmitters.  So, even for guitars, no wires.  Ironically, they worked best when I used to have a few work friends join me for lunch time jam sessions in my tiny studio down in So. Cal. (an 8' x 9' bedroom - see pic below).  They helped keep us from tripping over each other.

Guilty to 4 out of the entire list. And envious of one other.

No musical instruments???

Like one of my t-shirts says: I have too many guitars
(said no one, ever)
