Anybody ever see this? A young 8-year old prodigy drummer child Avery Molek. I normally am not a big fan of these child prodigy videos, but this one struck me. I just get a kick out of his attitude, not to downplay any of his drumming abilities. He is really into this and having some fun playing to a good song.

If interested, he has a website also with more:

That's great! He is a complete natural, all his body movements are just grooving, nothing forced about it at all.

When someone asks him "what do you want to be when you grow up?" I'll bet I know the answer. He does look like a young Lars Ulrich.

Check out his double kick technique on this Dream Theater cover. The kid is fearless - here he takes on Neil Peart. Here he is live on stage with AC/DC; he needs a more challenging band.

As in...
Q: what do you call a drummer without a girlfriend?
A: homeless.

When you see the dancing bear at the circus, you don't marvel at how well the bear dances, but that he can dance at all.

Boring. My son was playing like that at that age.

This is way better. 12 years old I know but this guy can really play.

Hi,

Super nice stuff and well done. And the kid is very relaxed around the cymbals and drum set, which is usually the sign of someone that will do these things very well and be able to fill in the spots nicely.

It's very nice that he is not over stuck on the metronomic kind of metal stuff, and is showing a lot of variation and touch ... which is very good and then some.

I'm thinking that most bands will be totally blown off the stage by the kid, for playing cheap stuff.
