promidiFreezing? Or maybe record out to an Aux track
Cactus Musichttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gJAwJJvz2k Printing means you take an audio tack and process it with effects and then bounce it to a new track with all the effects "printed" to tape. This was a term used in the days of tape recording. You might not have enough effect processors on hand to use during final mixdown so you "printed" the effects to a new track and then probably re used the old track. Remember, small studios only had say, 8 tracks to work with. So the idea of printing is a lost art and it's only real use I can see is for an under powered system where your trying to save CPU. We might still use the term if we add effects to a vocal or guitar and record it wet. We cannot undue the effects as they are now "printed" to the audio track.
mettelusBounce to track(s) will "print" as well without requiring real-time to do so.
Kalle RantaahoFour ways that I know: Freeze, Apply effect (assuming it's still there), Bounce to clip, Bounce to track.Any recording method is so slow and tedious that I don't even consider them existing.
