79 bucks to watch a recorded version though seems a little high. I'm surprised Toontrack would be cool with that as its top North American guy is presenting.

The seminar is FREE if you watch LIVE...otherwise..if you want "anytime access" it's $79...

Imagine what you would pay for a class like this at a college?  Let's be reasonable here...
16 hrs of training for FREE?

I've done several of the free classes...they are long winded...but they are decent...

I get it that it's free. And I get that there is a cost. I just feel that tutorials are just as much as sales tool as well as educational. If a third party was doing the whole thing I get it, but seemed odd to me that the President of Toontrack North America was giving the lecture that would ultimately cost money. I'll probably buy it anyway!

Agree with gmon...tutorials are a sales tool first and foremost. Dan Worrall doesn't work for free, but none of his clients pass that cost on to us directly. You can watch hours of FabFilter tutorials for free any time you like.

I am, however, considering watching the seminar, as I am sure it will include aspects of the product that I've not explored. But it'll mean sitting through seven hours to glean one hour or less of new information. I would certainly not pay $79 to watch it.

EDIT: Never mind. Just checked the calendar and the 14th is a Wednesday. No way I can justify taking a weekday off work for this.

FYI - you can buy the download for $59 instead of $79 for the next day I believe.  I peeked in at it and the class seemed pretty well done and high quality.

I watched some of it and it was quite good...
But I couldn't sit through 8 hrs...let alone 16...

I'd be lucky if I could watch 16 hours of anything over the course of a month!
