For some people, it's lava lamps, or action figures or even clutter...

I'm slowly integrating a few elements into my workspace. Recently, my wife made a quick trip to Quebec to see her parents and go through some of the stuff we left behind when we moved here. She surprised me by bringing back an old framed picture of Bela Lugosi  - which had been one of those magic elements that had been part of my creative environment for years... It's very odd how this thing feels like it was a missing part of the puzzle. I'm just so used to having it in the home studio...

She also brought back a couple more of my Lugosi collectibles - a copy of his death certificate, his will, movies, an action figure...

Suddenly, I feel even more at home. :)

Next up - replacing that darn carpet w/ a wooden floor (everywhere where there's carpet in the house actually) and the butt-ugly ceiling fan.

Now, if I could find one of these...

Option 1 - You can buy the wings at Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/listing/160798365/bat-wing-fan-blades-set-of-3-blades?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_us_b-home_and_living-other&utm_custom1=bbce92ea-67d7-42d5-8d37-1474494c2a16&kpid=160798365&gclid=CKmni4fsl8gCFUKRHwodl9oCwg). Range from $85 to $165 (just the wings - you must already have a ceiling fan to install them on).

Option 2 - Make your own. Found instuctions for making your own bat wings over at the Instructables web site (http://www.instructables.com/id/The-Bat-Fan/). Might be a bit cheaper

Hi,

It's one of the funny things ... of all movies, there probably isn't a single one that I quote more than some of the lines from the Dracula film with Bela Lugosi. The tough part, which is lost in any Hollywood environment, is that he is deadly serious, and not just saying ... for the sake of saying. As in "acting", kinda saying ... the lines has internal and intimate details that are sad ... but also very strong.

"... far worse things, await men... than death ... " is still one of my favorite things, and you see it everyday on the media, and in many places. Sorry for the paraphrase!
