Prior to doing vocal tunes, I wrote instrumentals.  This was the very last instrumental I wrote back in 2009.   Hope you enjoy!

Hi Geno ,
your song has some real nice guitar tones and shreds .......
so whats the deal on this tune , is this a fresh recording of an older instrumental you wrote ?
what type of feedback are you looking for ..
is your tune based on something you would like to or have performed live w the same instrumentation or are you approaching this song from a studio environment where you have layers and are using the instrumentation as a canvas ...

Hi Geno, very good playing, liking it. Reminds me of the music that you used to get on those flexable records in Guitar Player magazine in the 80's.

Geno, Very awesome sound on this and some great shredding on the guitar. Has that Les Paul sound to the guitar, as I have one myself. What amp are you using, sound like a Marshall. Like the bass in this also and a nice job with the drums. Very inspiring, makes me want to get my Les Paul and SG out of the closet and start playing again. Awesome jam my man!! Had to give you five stars on this one.

Peace and Blessings, John

Kenny - thanks for the comments.  This tune was recorded back in 2009.  But I've learned so much about recording in the last couple years, I re-mixed it with all my new knowledge.  I changed out the drums from Addictive Drums to Superior and changed the bass from Trilogy to Trilian.  I also added two "power guitar" tracks.  But the lead was the original from back then.  I posted it so people could hear some of my originals - I've got 3 CD's of instrumental originals and most of these I've never posted.  Any comments good or bad are always welcomed.

Rikkie - Thank you - Yes I remember those flexible CD's!

Frank - Thanks for listening.

John - Thanks for your comments - I'm glad you like the song.  I'm using PodFarm2.5 for the guitar amp.  What kind of Les Paul do you have?  I love my les paul.  I always liked the looks of the SGs.

Incredible writing, performance, recording and mixing. All 10s. And this song does have vocals, it's just that they are performed/sung by the guitars. As it was playing, I could hear it in my head with a vocal like the Scorpions in their hay day off of Virgin Killer, something like Still Loving You.

Nice...great guitar work and sounds.  The back beat and rhythm layering almost gives me a subliminal reggae bounce which I really like underscoring the rock format.

Well done!

dude.... Turn the lead down. LOL.
All the parts are great but that lead is way too loud (and a little thick 250-500 hz).

Around 2:17 now and the guit loudness is starting to grow on me.
I still think though the lead needs to sink into a volume pocket.
Like a head on a firm pillow.

Geez man, nice playin.

4:51..... Don't change a thing............................:)

OK, back to the beginning. Yea, that front guit is pretty loud. I think it gets softer as the tune progresses.

Nice Geno.

I'm a big fan of instrumentals, but now I do very few, largely because most people prefer vocals, and I like writing lyrics, but I still do about 1 in a dozen as instrumentals.

This is very cool, cool tone!  Very lyrical riffs, which is what I like, the guitar acting as a human voice.... which makes it cry and sing.
