When I started using AD with X3 there was a way to dl the MIDI directly from the XLN website. I sometime play around with these in Reason's Kong but I can't for the life of me remember how to do it. Maybe XLN no longer allow it? I've got new MIDIPaks from my upgrade to SPlat and would like to have these stored alongside my older ones.

Any ideas anyone?

I'm not sure how to get it from the XLN site, but you can check within the AD Installer's "Advanced Options" (not sure of the exact phrase) tab and see the file path to where the MIDI files are stored on your HD.

Once you find the path, you can just drag/copy/paste them to where you want it.

Mesh, are you saying this because you have done it or because you should be able to do it? I tried to get to the midi files in AD1 and was not able to so I contacted XLN and they sent a link so I could download them and put them in EZ Player Pro.  I am still not finding them in AD2. They have them hid somewhere. I can get to the External MIDI file, the ones I imported but that is all. I don't know why they don't make them available. I imported some of them into EZ Player(one at a time) and they work fine with other drums. I contacted them to get the ones I got with Platinum and the guy I talked to acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. I would like to know if anyone has found a way to get them.

Sorry BD, I'm not at my DAW right now and only going from short term memory......I've imported my EZ drummer midi files into AD2 (I believe it's in the External Midi file folder as you've said) and of course, "assumed" it could be done visa versa.

I'm on my way to sit in the donkey's corner and put on my dunce cap.

Back to the OP. IIRC XLN MIDI for AD2 is now in proprietary format. But, I've been wrong before.

Come out of the corner Mesh, I didn't mean anything by what I said. Wish I would have said it better. The only way I have been able to get them into EZ Player is import one at a time, which took forever  cuz you have to name each one. They work but I can't get them out of the AD2 program. I would have bought more from them but they hide them in the program.

The sound files are easy to find, but are in .xpak files. I spent some time looking for the beat (MIDI) files, and struck out. Even if I had found them, each MIDI pack would have be in a single file. Not what you want or need.
