Love the energy in this song Tom. It moves  along well. The vocals are good. Didn't hear earlier mixes but this one is well done especially if done in a home studio.

thanks for listening and your comment! talking about home studio...one of the reasons I am doing all these recordings is to convince my bandmates to try and record some of our stuff by ourselves...instead of spending big bucks at the "real" studio. so I continue recording, hope to get better along the way and finally convince these blockheads!

Sounds really good.  I like the vocals.  The energy is great.  There is something like a tiny bit overcompressed or too heavy - needs some breathing room.  Maybe it's just the drums, which seem to be at a constant intense level.  But everything is very clearly heard, so the quality isn't suffering.  And the frequency balance is really good - full lows, sparkly highs.  Very nice.

thanks geno! good to hear this from a guy who is contantly delivering great sounding songs to our community. this is flattering!

for I use the compression usually very gently, I guess we have to blame Mr. Steven Slate for overcompression on the drums...I have bought the Steven Slate presets for Superior Drums and found the preset "Fat Rock" suitable for this song. But I agree, the drum level is contantly high, and if the song would exceed three minutes, I guess it would be all too much.

By the way, I will continue to use his presets until I am able to tweak great drums sounds by myself...which will not be in the near future!

Nice rocker.  Could use some sparkle/air, (you know, just grab the $600 "sparkle-ifyer" VST).  Otherwise cool song with lots of balls.

thanks sven! You are right, how could I forget to use the $600 sparkilizer pro-soundinizer! but maybe there is some truth in your words...maybe it is the secret of the big studios, they have all the expensive toys and are not afraid to use them...
