Rik,

Nice composition.   To my ears, it sounds like it is missing a little body in comparison to your previous posts/guitar sound which were more full sounding.   I will say, you have some nice top end on it but I think at the expense of a full body sound of your previous posts.   I compared to Esperanza and Cueca as examples.   My hearing ain't great today, a little stuffed up from allergies so may be off on this observation....   The music sounds really good though.

Rik, Nice little composition and guitar playing sounds good. Things do sound like they ring a bit more than how you did your last posts, but even so, a great sound over all. Nice one.

Peace and Blessings, John

Hi Mark, you're absolutely right about the sound. I should have mentioned, I have now ; ), this was recorded with my electro-acoustic, mainly di and a little bit of mic. My neighbourhood is to noisy to record with just a mic and my nice acoustic classical guitar most of the time. Glad you like the tune though .

Hi John, thanks glad you like it. My electro-acoustic has the sustain of a wet newspaper when played acoustically, but keeps on ringing when di'd, go figure ; )

I agree it sounds slightly thinner, but not overly compressed.  Maybe a tad less reverb.  But very nicely played and the volume is consistent across the strings, although I'm not sure I would roll it off any less.  I know recording nylon can be tricky as the wound strings have a lot more oomph in the lower frequencies.   Right now I can't hear bass very well, so take my comments with a grain of salt.  Very pretty tune.

Hi Daryl, thanks for listening.  It still sounds very di'd to me, glad you like the tune.

Lynn
Rik, this is a lovely piece of music.  I think of it as having a different flavor than some of your past recordings.  The overall performance is terrific.  I've found that X2 is the best mixing platform that CW has produced yet, and I hope you're happy with yours.

Hi Lynn, thanks, I try to mix up different styles of playing, glad you like it.  Well, the upgrade to x-2 was so cheap, I couldn't resist. Breverb sounds very nice too.

Lovely performance, but what's with all the hiss noise in between the notes where there should silence..? I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it, or did I miss something...
