Hi all,

Can you access the raw MIDI files for EZDrummer anywhere? I know you can drag them out to your host, but I would like to browse them in another application. Seems they are stored in some proprietary format?

They are stored as midiDB files....so it is a proprietary format...

But once you use them in Sonar project can't you just export the tracks as standard midi files??

Ol Pal,

You are right. Once inside Sonar, they are just midi files, deflocked of all proprietary stuff. Can save as such and recycle in any way needed.

Larry right that the files are initially locked.

EZ Player Pro should be able to do that also shouldn't it?
Just drag them in, change to what format you want, drag
them to the track, then export...

If you right click a groove in the EZD browser, the bottom item presented in the menu is 'Add to User MIDI'.  This extracts that groove to a .MID file.

Perhaps you could preview/browse/choose a set of grooves in the EZD browser and extract as you want to use them.

That's worth trying.
