For those of you suffering from painful nostalgia, there's comfort in analgesia.

you don't have to watch Jimi play the anthem to know that people just don't give a poop about music that has meaning!

I'm sure they care about music that has meaning to them... just not music that has meaning to you.

They really need to quit squabbling with Bill about money/contracts and just do a tour with all 4 original members while they're all still alive.

I'd love that but I saw them in 2013 and Tommy Clufetos was outstanding. They had a rigorous tour sched. Bill would be dead in a week.

So you look forward to those "timeless" feelings? Are you nostalgic for them?

NOPE. I live them every day of my life, with or without music! A poem can take me there. A painting can take me there. Some words here and there can take me there!

I think the words needed might be that for my experience it is not human made. Is it a form of nostalgia? Nope. It is a form of inspiration and inner trip and study, in its never ending supply of nourishment for the noggin.

redolence is the right word here,i think: when a song takes you back to the very moment you heard it and what you were doing then it`s no different to a poem,painting,smell,taste..........
but,of course,everyone is different.

The tour is coming to my town and I was briefly excited. That is, until I saw ticket prices. Anything on the floor is $325 - $650, seats on the side are from $175 - $400. That's just nuts. The nose bleed level and obstructed stuff can be had for $75 - $150, but if under oath you couldn't actually say you'd seen the band.

F**k  them, and Sharon.

they are due here in April 2016,starting at $185 for crap seats but I declined tickets as 7 months is a long time considering the general health of the band and the length of the tour before they finally make it down under.....
money,money,money...
it`s a rich mans`s world...
