I responded to your PM ... if this is a map that lives in AD2, it's different from what I've tried before.  The map I tried before was a Sonar drum map that *almost* works.

I hate fiddling with production tools to make them work.  Tweaking sound is how I want to spend my time.

If I wanted to map this, script that, write a new menu and make my own GUI skin ... well, I'd still be using that other DAW I have installed but never use.

Yeah, this works inside AD2. Just copy your midi and move it to the AD2 track and inside the AD2 map window select EZdrummer as your map...and your all set. I'll send it over now. If you need help installing it, let me know.

Clint - this map rocks!  Thanks a ton.  Is this something you created?

The AD mapping tool looks very capable, but like it could get complicated.

Thanks again

No this map was on the old xln audio forum, which they did away with. I saved a copy on my desktop so I could send it to people who may need it. I'm glad it worked. EZ Player Pro is still a nice thing to have IMO. I bought mine at KVR for $19 if I remember correctly.

I'll see what Black Friday brings us from TT.  EZPlayer Pro and the post-rock EZX are on my list along with the Songwriters MIDI 6 pack.

The map you sent is going to give me a lot of mileage out of what I have already.  Being able to use Song Creator to assemble a drum track, then use the resulting MIDI to drive either EZD or AD2 kits a quite a big deal for me.

Yeah, it's very nice to use EZD2 to build up a midi part and then be able to use AD2 if needed.
I bought and like Post-Rock. It's got a unique thing going. It's a nice big sounding kit. The Modern DW (standard kit) is my favorite of all. I'm working on a song now with it and my 'real' drummer loves it. He triggers it with a Octapad he has. It has both the hihat and kick pedals and the 8 pads. Works great. When he leaves...I go back in and tiddy things up a bit. EZD2 works great for that too. I drag the midi he has recorded in Sonar, and paste it back into EZD2 and edit most things from there. It's a lot easier than the piano roll for most things, and a lot more fun I think.

so does ezplayer allow you to do the same things (tap to find grooves, power hand, etc)?

No it doesn't.
You should have EZ Player Pro with SD2.0. At least I thought EZ Player pro came with SD2.0.

The map clint turned me on to has filled the immediate need beautifully.  I'm seamlessly driving AD2 with EZD2 MIDI!!

EZPlayer Pro is still on my list for the other functions.  I can wait for sales now though

Thanks again clint!
