What they say about themselves:

Canada’s powerhouse Afro / Latin / Tropical collective, The Souljazz Orchestra, surface with a hard-hitting new album for Autumn 2015, 'Resistance.' In keeping with the band’s previous work, the band keep powerful lyrics at the heart of their music, delivering some biting social commentaries alongside messages of hope.

The "biting social commentaries" are in French. Most/all of the footage was shot in Montreal, Quebec. Quite good.

I saw these play in support of another band in Brighton, UK years back. I think they may have been supporting The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, but I can't recall. I had a few of the Souljazz Orchestra's tracks and started recognising songs, thinking they were covering, until 'Mista President' I clicked I was listening to band I was actually a fan of and didn't know were going to play. Great band.

Every time I hear a dirty baritone sax in Afrobeat I miss my old (1921) baritone I had to sell when moving out here.
