Paleoanthropology. Isn't that the study of older men? Seems like the coffee house is all about that all the time.

I thought it was the study of either fossil's .....or older men.

I thought it was a one hit wonder band from the eighties...

I thought that is what the "I Love Lucy" fan club called itself.

I think he's trying to be serious.
I actually WAS an Anthro major at one time.
Did some central Calif archeology with the group from Cal State Long Beach.
One of the crew died of San Joaquin Valley Fever, contracted, as we all did, at the site.
(talk about the "curse of King Tut's Tomb!)
Paleoarchaeology was my field of interest, had it not required a fundamental understanding of
geology I may have drifted that way.
I too had read the article with some interest.
My wife and friends went and saw the "Lucy" exhibit when it was in town, I passed, stayed to work in
the studio that day; I was a bit surprised at that actually.
But long story, short.
In the field people who remove things from archeological sites are referred to as "Pot Hunters".
(not THAT kind of pot)
In my experience, "experts" in the field are nothing more.
I'm pretty sure the human remains removed during our work in central California are still in boxes
somewhere at Cal State.
I, for one, will never desecrate a burial site again.
Maybe we deserved the dose of Valley Fever we all received.
Just sayin'...

I supposed it to be the study of antediluvian civilization. However, I cannot join in to these sort of discussions because my comments would surely violate the TOS... but that's OKAY!
