Hello my friends:
When I initially installed Sonar, during installation, I used several different drives for folders and resources.

Everything is working as expected.

However, I am concern that if I update Sonar simply by installing a new release from my Products, it may place everything into default locations.

I would hate to ruin my current settings but need to update.

Would Sonar revert to default if I simply run a new update? Default meaning the default folders and location for Audio and other resources.

For example: Lets say I initially installed Sonar and used Drive H for audio. Later I run an update installation. Will the Audio folder be reverted to the C drive or is the process smart enough to know audio is on H.

Thank you!

Hi. If you used Cakewalk Command Center (CCC) to install, open CCC and click on the gear icon on the top right.
Choose "Verbose Install" to get better control over what gets installed where.
All the best.

Thank you. I did not noticed a difference when I selected "Verbose Install" but I did noticed Sonar installed/Updated without changing the current paths. It also recognized my Audio path on another drive and this was not affected.

Thanks again!

FYI I marked this "solved" because this is a question that comes up from time to time, and Zargg's answer will help people.
