OK - I wrote this - I think it was in 2003 and recorded it with the Geronimo Cowboys. Mike wrote the lyrics, sang, played bass guitar and did the production work. Earl played one of the guitars - I played everything else.
 
I wrote this to myself for my 50th birthday - and yea - I'll be 60 on Monday.

HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY MARK ! I turned 60 last year in Nov and after I had my first heart attack a month later . Then the following year after Knee started breaking down on me and stills hurt today but what the heck I'm 60 .
When I go to the doctor they look at me like I'm a Bull frog hoping for a leap of faith but what the hell I'm 60 and I'm still hopping around .
I bought my first cane a month ago and you know what that means at 60 , its just the next step when I get to slide into my first conforable wheel chair and get pushed around by sexy old ladys on a sunday afternoon during my first Bingo game .
But what the hell look at the bright side , at 60 all the sexy old 90 year old ladies will consider me the town playboy so thats the good news about turning 60 .

I like the song, but I wasn't a huge fan of the vocal performance. It wasn't bad? Just not what I dig.

Terrific song.  To me this definitely has a Lou Reed feel to it -- including the vocals.  Of course your guitar tones were stellar.  I hear that 60 is now the new 50 --- so, you're not as old as you might think you are.  ;>)
