Are they expecting your voice to recover?  Hope so.

I tried to get my first wife signed up for elective surgery to clip her vocal chords, but someone spilled the beans.

Hope everything heals quickly.

Zonno - I like your version of Autumn Leaves very much.
Here's the Miles Version with Cannonball

Autmn Leaves

Very nice version. Thanks, I plan to study on the Cannonball Adderly solo.
And the best of wishes on that voice again.

Back at ya with my fave.
Chet and Paul of course ( here with the young Steve Gadd, Bob James and Ron Carter)

I know this one. A very powerful version of Autumn Leaves.
I have been looking for this version. I once had it on a compilation album which I lost.
And I didn't know what album it was originally from.

So thank you very much for posting .

Hi,

The calm before the song ... hang in there ... think of it as you are just warming up!

Actually, probably not a bad idea, doing some of those voice/type exercises used for singers and actors?

Zonno check out Cannonball's 1st solo after the head. From the very first line! Genius!!!

After Cannonball's solo Miles comes in with his "cool" style of phrasing. I transcribed a lot of solos by him and this is one of my favorites! What Miles could do with a simple phrase just by the way he played it in the song. Wow

One of many things that floors me about Miles solos is he would play a phrase and the next chorus move it one beat over. I love that

Hi,

Maybe he just had no sense of time or measures or notes or chords? As it should be.
