I'm a fan. If you haven't seen this already, enjoy! Produced by Gallien-Krueger.

Heh, we were just having a nice Aristocats/Guthrie Govan discussion in another forum over the weekend.  Too bad this guy obviously doesn't know how to stick on Am.  Maybe Ed can give him some lessons?

Looks like he's about ready to graduate to the electric guitar.

Um, maybe he's got a Starbucks feeling going?

A lot of "metal" for my tastes is more about one's flexibility on the notes than anything else. I mean, take someone like Jon Mcglothlin (can't even spell his name right!) and the quantity of notes, and it doesn't feel like a quantity when you hear them. Or Jaco. Then you hear someone like this, and it just seems rather empty!

In my book the guy needs to learn to play one note ... before 2, and then 3 ... something silly like that!

It's 'The Aristocrats' Craig. They're named after an infamous scatalogical joke which cannot be posted here.

Guthrie Govan...I rate him as possibly the most gifted guitar player of his generation, but I've yet to hear him play anything I'd want to listen to twice. That'll just be my problem, I'm sure.

Yep, I keep going Disney on that one.

Everyone seems to have the same issue with them.  You can only listen to them in small bite-sized chunks or your ears get tired.  That said, I really like Waves from his Erotic Cakes album.
