So far, it's a tropical storm, but Hurricane Erika is certainly heading our way over the weekend. Our workplace just advised us to stock up on water/canned foods/secure windows/generators etc...

I know that feeling, just a little. We don't get hurricanes in Scotland, but I've had my roof peel off in 100MPH winds, you don't forget that. Hope it passes you by without damage.

i lived thru hurricane Hugo, in south charleston, back in '89.

was without any water for 2 weeks, no electricity for 6 weeks.

would not wish that on anyone.
