The Band19
When people tell me, oh I could never play an instrument, I respond "there is no H, how hard could it be?"

Usually they give me a puzzled look and I have to look at them and say "IT GOES ABCDEFG, ABCDEFG, etc..." There are a couple of other rules, the natural whole steps, major and minor triads, but I always tell them, I could teach you everything you need to know about music in 5 mins, the rest? Is just practice...

You'd be amazed when you tell people most (90+ percent) of all great rock and roll is only 3 chords, and they are the same three chords?

Hey I like this! Definitely a lot going on. I tended to like the mellower parts better than the heavier stuff, which is weird for me. I liked the feel of the softer parts. Kinda had an earlier Jane's Addiction vibe going on. As far as the mix, listening on my Focal CMS65's in a treated room, I felt the bass guitar was a little forward. But all in all I think you did a nice job with this. Very cool song! Thanks for sharing it!

wow I've gotten a few more Janes Addiction references on this / that's way cool as I love Perry/Dave N  :) sweet! thanks again bro

Hey, Daren,

Another very cool, well written and performed modern rocker with a distinct vintage vibe and a really full sounding, well textured mix!

LOL, I know I always say it, but I really love the vocals and AIC inspired harmonies on all of your stuff, and you definitely have a trademark, very recognizable sound to your instrumentation, which is a really good thing.

Excellent work, bro!

I'm like the new leader but think it is to long, as one could loose interest before everything else kicks in. The added percussion fits in just right and brings this up to a much better level. Some of it does sound a bit compressed together for me, but that can be fixed in panning a couple of tracks out. In placed the snare seems to be a bit loud and out front taking away fro the rest of the piece. Also, IMO the vocals fit to far back in the mix. Although you know what you are looking for in this song, I am only telling you what I heard and making suggestions for consideration. Very impressive song otherwise.

Peace and blessings, John

Hey I like the new intro a lot! Sounds like you brought the bass down a touch, sits really well in there now.:) I really like this a lot. Very lush and ethereal. Almost gives me the feeling of floating. It's like my consciousness gets sucked in and becomes part of the song. Okay, maybe I'm just weird but the mellow parts definitely put me in that state of mind. Anyway, great job on your song and the mix!

Hey thanks guys!!! -- I totally understand point about intro...however this is more a 'lead-in' for album version :) I just added the final lead-in mix below; it's more simple and effective [ see below ] :)

& ya vox sit a bit back/ kinda the style as per genre and personal taste :)

truly appreciate the listen.  this has been a big project to say the least lol ;p

K here's iTunes mix - including lead-in [ however the 'single' eg 'radio version' with be without extended intro/bumper ]  but I dig the feel of the intro... gives song 'headspace' { also outro tail lead-out } ... lead-in itself is more developed and also simplified ... I'm playing Frere Jaques and Back Minuet in G major [ transposed to C major for song ] on keyboards along with NOIZE tracks audio sculpture that crescendos with reel tape fast forward/slow to mark point e.g. build/release tension:
