An original.
I have a relative with CF so this is thinking of her.
I'm trying hard to keep it simple with better quality tracking and more emotion.
Let me know if you hear "cringe moments"?
IOW what is the worst thing you can say about this production.
Yamaki Guitar recorded with a Shure SM7b and a 58 in XY Thru my BR800
Vox doubled thru the SM7b
Drum drax imported from DR880
Bass was recycled from a previous version and slowed down from 85 to 75
Thanks guys.

Very good song and some great finger pickin'... I like the bass and vox too...
There are a few timing issues and hiss noise, and the drums sound really flat...
Message is well taken...

Thanks for the reply and tips.
All true too. I'll work on those but have no idea how to kill the hiss. EQ?
The drums I should redo in Midi to get the parts separated.
Thanks again
Glenn

Isolate the stem causing the hiss, and lo-pass filter it enough not to hurt... also trim the clips or remove silence...

You might try a noise gate and a soft knee on the vocals. Sounds better than last time I listened.

Keep working on this one, it's a great start.

Peace and Blessings, John

Thanks so much guys.
So far I isolated the hiss to the guitars quiet sections and multed those passages to new tracks and gave them an aggressive High cut filter. Much better!
Next I used the TS64 transient shaper on the drums and the bass to add some edge.
Drums I pulled out some 400 and added a few db of 70, some 200 and some 5K EQ trying to breathe some life and depth into them.
At this point I'm not sure about how to apply the gate to the vox. Was that for noise John?
