Sigh. As they say, there are 10 kinds of people in this world...

And here I just thought there were two...me...and everybody else.

I've always heard there are three kinds of people in this world, those that can count and those that can't.

This is sounding more and more like Rutger Hauer's last lines in Blade Runner. Whatever that might mean...

I've... seen things... you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion; I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate... All those... moments... will be lost, in time, like [chokes up] tears... in... rain. Time... to die.

With one exception ... saying it, in some places, is a waste of time, place, and emotion! Some of the folks have no idea, or INTEREST, in why it is so, and how it happened!

Same thing on this whole thread of discussion on analog/digital. This whole thing is like a life of joy for me, but some folks just seem to want to take that away from you, and it is a bit strange, when it is all you can see, have lived with, and in some ways ... it's the only woman I have ever loved ... movies and music ... because the rest has been nothing but worthless crap. I've pretty much dedicated myself to them ... a long time ago, and you can kill my body, but you can't kill me!

Good call, Nettlesmith. I love that kind of stuff. It may take me a week to watch it all, though.

Yes, I've been watching it in half-hour sittings  The sheer ingenuity in terms of engineering, use of location, camera technique and model-making is well worth the effort though.

But is the film digital or analogue?

That's the real debate here.

I did watch about 25 minutes of it.
